I do have a real, properly configured two-tier mail system. I also have
an internal mail domain to handle root emails from daily jobs. It
doesn't use a "real" TLD. Internal hosts without local users use that
domain instead of the real domain.

Unless you want statistics on package usage only for workstations, shell
servers and perimeter hosts, I maintain that this is a real issue. It's
a different set of stat's than I thought, but if that's what you're
looking for I can understand why you have things configured the way they
are.
