Much more useful would be to compile the kernel with the selected
options, and email one or more floppy disc images, or even a small
.iso. Just enough stuff to boot and then pull the rest down by FTP 
or a local CD or something ...

That would be pretty cool ... and presumably you could cache kernels
that had been compiled with specific options to save on compile time.
