Subject: url/usb doesn't work on one machine

works on my home machine as USBKR100 USB 10/100 LAN
but doesn't on other saying
uhub1: device problem, disabling port 1 (or any other to which i'll 
connect)

device is sold as USB 2.0

the machine in which is does NOT work is athlon64 with such usb:

ohci0 at pci0 dev 2 function 0: Nvidia nForce3 250 USB Host Controller

ohci0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 5 (irq 5)
ohci0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support

can ehci be a problem? should i try to disable it?
