With the aforementioned set of components, do the last two play nicely with
each other?

I haven't been logging, but I've seen traces of things that should be
blocked on an interface getting through.  I don't want to start logging
errors as the disk I/O on Ultra5's is iffy.  Does anyone have a pointer of
divine knowledge?
