Hello netbsd-folks

I would like to know which NetBSD version I should install on a very old no=
tebook?
It has a 486 processor, 4MB of RAM and 170MB diskspace. It`s not much, but =
don`t want to run fancy tools on it or X. The only thing that is important =
to me is the SDCC compiler (sdcc.sourceforge.net) I hope it will work with=
 this little RAM.

I decided on NetBSD for this prupose because it has a litte ressource usage=
.=20
Now, which version should I get? An older one like 1.4 or the newest?=20
On IRC they told me that I even can get current to run on this machine with=
 absolute small installation, it should fit on 100MB. Can anybody confirm t=
hat?

Of course the notebook has no NIC or CDROM. I have to make floppy sets or a=
n installation over Nullmodemcable. I think floppy will be the way to go.=

Any comments on this one?=20
Greetings  Karim=20
