Yes, it works fine, I'm using it daily with 2.0_BETA and 3.0_BETA with LVD
disks. (In non-LVD mode (that is, SE) because this adapter doesn't support
LVD.)

As others mentioned, maybe it's too slow for your disk, but I don't see
any reason why shouldn't it work for you until you get a faster card.
