I've been reading this thread, am subscribed to netbsd-users.

One suggestion would be for NetBSD to produce and sell CDs with each new
release, as FreeBSD and OpenBSD do to help their BSD projects.  That would
help support the NetBSD project and make it easier for users without a
high-speed Internet connection to get the new NetBSD releases.  I notice
many of the outside businesses that sell NetBSD CDs are several versions
behind.
