That doesn't quite work either... after I pkg_delete'd perl, I got
this when trying to `make install clean` of p5-Socket6:

make: don't know how to make
/usr/pkg/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-netbsd/Config.pm. Stop
make: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/net/p5-Socket6/work/Socket6-0.17

make: stopped in /usr/pkgsrc/net/p5-Socket6
