fab:

pkgsrc can create and modify files outside of /var/db and /usr/pkg.
(TeX fonts and /etc/shells come to mind.)  If you plan on rebuilding
everything anywat, those may not matter (but then, 'rm -rf /var/db/pkg*'
might be enough.)
