I created a dumpfile of the root filesystem by issuing:

dump -a -f /mnt/smb/dump-<date>-<time>-NetBSD-<version>.dump /

I then invoke restore after a system reinstall by issuing:

restore -i -f /mnt/smb/dump-<date>-<time>-NetBSD-<version>.dump

using that command in NetBSD results in:

-bash-2.05b# restore -i -f dump-02042005-1139-NetBSD-2.0.dump
bad block size 4356

in GNU's version (via a linux livecd), that invocation of restore
works 100%. Why does NetBSD's invocation fail? Is it something I am
doing? Or is there something wrong with NetBSD's dump/restore?
