I attempted to install SFU on FAT in Win2k.  It refused, I want to say it 
offered to upgrade the filesystem to NTFS, but i can't remember 100%.

I suppose its possible that WinXP can use it on a FAT filesystem, as I never 
tried...but i doubt it.
