well. my information comes from the MS website, which explicitly claims:

"Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 does not work with Microsoft Windows 95, 
Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows XP Home Edition, Windows 
NTŪ Workstation, or Windows NT Server."
