i'm using that machine (it's Pentium 133, 64MB RAM, 2 ethernets) as
NAT+ALTQ machine. it worked fine until network got larger (>120 machines).
fxp0 is PXE bootable LAN interface, ex0 is WAN interface
now it boots fine, works for some time (like 1-20 hours) then it
self-reboots.
NAT bots logs through syslog to same machine that it's booting from.
sometimes before self reboot i'm getting message "NFS server is not
responding" in logs, while (in the same time) ping shows everything is
right. it still works for a long time with kernelspace, while userspace is
frozen.
i did NO change on both machines and it started to behave like more and
more often when network started to grow.
it's NetBSD 2.0 with custom kernel.
the only thing i see now but not before this problems is log messages like
that:
Feb 12 09:14:27 gw254.hel /netbsd: ipf_nattable_max reduced to 23878
sometimes coming.
any ideas? can it be hardware failure?
