You know how it is - so many projects, and so little time.  ;)

Still, there is only so much room on two 1.4MB disks.

Include the *_lfs tools in the installer kernel, make sure it can 
write lfs bootblocks - what else is there? The disklabel editor 
already lets you set up lfs partitions, it is only when you want to 
write the label that it tells you it cannot create a filesystem.  =8/
