Well if you have a driver from "linuxprinting.org" using the
"foomatic-rip" and "foomatic-gswrapper" scripts, I think it is needed.
Although the package dependency is in the other direction.
You don't need it for the "built-in" drivers coming with cups I think.
(Not sure about that).
