As did I.  The thing seemed to work, but the drive would not
physically fit in the extruded aluminium enclosure!  Still,
I plugged the adaptor into the back of the drive, propped it
up on a notepad and salvaged all the data from my laptop's
home directory.  I think that in itself was worth the US$ 15
that I paid and I may re-case it for future use.

Mine worked with NetBSD.  I have yet to try it on an MS
Windows machine.

Mine was a 2.5" drive, so I'm not even sure that it had
single/master/slave jumpers.
