Thanks for the HOWTO.

For your information, the xorg-clients pkgsrc package doesn't overwrite
its xdm configs on reinstall or update. It uses the normal pkgsrc system
for configurations: install to examples directory and only copy into real
location if doesn't exist.

(I never did the XFree86 package because my "fast" build systems both
died.)
