cdbkup is a set of handy perl scripts.

I have used cdsplit for years to split a large tar file over a number of =
CDs.

cdappend is great for adding a tar file to a CD and automatically blanking =
CD-RW when full.

being no longer under development doesnt make them any less useful - as =
they already work and could be easily modified if necessary
