Hello,
i try to install NetBSD 2.0 on an server with Mainboard intel
SE7210TP1 and SRCS14L raidcontroller. Three 160 GB SATA drives
are attached to the controller. Installation runs from CD.
The partition for the system is 10 GB which is defined als RAID 5 (i
also tried RAID 1 and single-disc).
The installation stopped reproduceable every time with an kernel
panic during unpacking the base system tgz file.
sysinst running "tar -zxepf /mnt2//i386/binary/sets/base.tgz"
during this it gives the error:
"kernel: page fault trap, code=0
stopped in pid 8.1 (ioflush) at 0xc0262473 cmpl 0(%edi),%eax"
As i told, i tested single-disk, raid 5 and raid 1 different partition-sizes
and installing from cd and ftp. Alwasys the same problem.
Linux and netbsd 1.6.2 installs without problems. Upgrade from 1.6.2
to 2.0 gives the same problem.
Has anyone an idea?
Kind regards
