I'm playing around with Rails at the minute, and it supports
several http connection methods.

I'm just switching it over to use fastcgi, which feels a lot
faster than standard cgi, but I wanted to know how *much* faster.

last time I tried this I used ab, but it doesn't support https.

siege does, but not basic auth.

Does anyone know of a tool that can do both?
I can always roll my own, I guess, but I'm lazy....
