Here's where I got the only Xsrc that would compile (I never did test
it) on my Qube, as of July this year. I assume this is still good
advice.

"make build" was the key. I'm still not sure how I was supposed to
know that ahead of time :) just invoking "make" failed. I had to ask
on the list.
Notice that the sources are in /current not /pkgsrc, and perhaps look
at secunia.com for possible holes in the x server depending on version
(X is a big security hole, I'm glad I ended up not needing to run it).
