The printer is an HP LaserJet IIP that I was given by a relative.

The printer is on and set to online.  Following the instructions in the 
NetBSD guide, I run the following

	% lptest 20 10 | lpr -h

Running 'lpq' afterwards shows no jobs in the queue.  The job has been 
sent to the printer.  The light next to the 'FORM FEED' button comes 
on.  In order to have the printer print the job, I have to take the 
printer off line, and press the 'FORM FEED' button.  The test prints 
correctly.

I'm able to print both the test pages and the available fonts using the 
printers menu without having to do the above process.  Anybody have an 
suggestions?
