For what it's worth, I received the same error message (I think; this is
from memory. I'm sure about something-pool and "increase NMBCLUSTERS".).
At the time, I was running 5-8 instances if the bittornado bittorrent
client and some other apps causing the machine to swap a fair bit.
(P3-500 MHz, 256M RAM, if anyone cares)

I do not recall having any network problems related to the warning, other
than perhaps a slight slowdown -- but it was swapping..

This was on 1.6.
