hi guys,

i also encountered problem described by several people (error message 
XInitThreads failed - looks like you don't have a thread-safe xlib.)

there was no indication what to do with it. should i just build X on my 
computer (currently i have 1.6zg with XFree 4.2.1)? will this solve the 
problem?
