I built mozilla-gtk2 from source last week - the Xft2 fonts look much 
better than previous
versions, but where I used to get (say) Japanese characters, I now see 
little boxes with 4 hex
digits.

Admittedly that looks quite funky, but I wonder if I missed a step 
somewhere?
