Subject: running syslogd with a different time zone?

I'd like to be able to run syslogd on UTC, rather than my machine's 
time zone.  I tried putting

	TZ=UTC0
	export TZ

in /etc/rc.conf.d/syslogd but that doesn't help.  Any other thoughts?
