Subject: The right way to start GDM

When I run gdm from /etc/rc.local with
/usr/pkg/etc/rc.d/gdm start
then the keybord does not work at all. However, if I do _not_ start GDM in
/etc/rc.local but manually with the same command, then everything is ok.
When gdm is started automatically in rc.local then the X server is on VT2
instead of VT5 when run manually. I suppose, that there is some conflict
with the startup order. It probably do, when gdm is definitly the last
program that starts on init. I could do that with 'at .. + 5 seconds' but
maybe there is a more elegant way to do this?
Any ideas?
Cheers, Roman
