machine which is fairly heavily used in terms of network, we fairly frequently see:
Jan 5 10:04:25 mirror /netbsd: ex0: uplistptr was 0
It pauses the machine for a while before carrying on. That on its own would be
ok, but so far, roughly every 12 days, the nic stops responding completely. We
have a serial console attached and could login that way, but no amount of
ifconfig massaging (up, down etc) made ex0 come back. Reboot was neccessary.
There was a mention on mailings lists about increasing a:
#define EX_NUPD 128
Will that solve the occasional nic freeze?
Sincerely,
Lund
