I started sticking tape cartridges into my Exabyte 8700
and when I typed 'mt -f /dev/nrst0 fsf 1' it returned
fsf: Input/Output error
So I did mt -f /dev/nrst0 status and got:
SCSI tape drive, residual=0
ds=3 <Mounted>
er=6 <>
blocksize: 0 (0, 0, 0, 0)
curr file number:0
curr block number: 0
if I look at /var/log/message I find:
st0: (ahc1:0:2:0) Check condition on CDB:
0x11 01 00 00 01 00
# Not there when I boot ...
The ZIP drive which is on the end of the tape still talks, and
can be mounted (both are external and daizy chained)
Any advice would be helpful
Thanks
