Hello,

I'm running netbsd-current (i368) on 2 different machines, and I can't
manage to make the java netscape plugin work on both machines.

With netscape7-1 (linux binaries), if I make the link :
ln -s /usr/pkg/java/sun-1.4/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
/usr/pkg/lib/netscape/netscape7/plugins/

I get the follonwing error message at netscape7 startup :
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library
/usr/pkg/java/sun-1.4/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
[libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory]

---
With the link :
ln -s /usr/pkg/java/sun-1.4/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so
/usr/pkg/lib/netscape/netscape7/plugins

I get :
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: No manager for initializing factory?

System error?:: Success

---
With the link:
ln -s /usr/pkg/java/sun-1.4/plugin/i386/ns4/libjavaplugin.so
/usr/pkg/lib/netscape/netscape7/plugins

I get no error at startup, but the java applets complain that
"application/x-java-vm" is not available

---
With java 1.3.1:
ln -s /usr/pkg/java/sun-1.3.1/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so
/usr/pkg/lib/netscape/netscape7/plugins

I get:
LoadPlugin: failed to initialize shared library
/usr/pkg/java/sun-1.3.1/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so
[/usr/pkg/java/sun-1.3.1/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so: undefined
symbol: __vt_17nsGetServiceByCID]

Does anyone know how to fix this ? Is there an other solution to run jaca
applets ?

thanks !
