Good day!

I am a senior bank official. I am writing you in respect of a customer of our firm, who happened to be a foreigner. This customer died in an automobile accident sometime in 2001.Before his death, I was his Account Officer and also handled both his local and international financial transactions.

Since the death of this customer of our financial firm, I personally have watched with keen interest to see if any relation of the deceased will come forward as a claimant to the funds he left behind in his Account with our firm. Our firm has made concerted efforts to contact the deceased Next of Kin and any other relations, but all efforts have proved abortive in this direction as no one has come to uthe bank to make claim.

Furthermore, it was discovered that the documents of deposit backing up the funds did not indicate any forwarding address where they can be reached. In view of the foregoing and knowing full well that our finance group does not have any means of reaching the Next of Kin of the deceased or any of the relations, I have decided to nominate you as his Next of Kin and claimant to the aforementioned funds.

THE FUNDS, WHICH HAS BEEN WITH THE FIRM FOR A VERY LONG TIME NOW WILL HAVE TO BE DECLARED TO THE GOVERNMENT AS STATUTORILY REQUIRED IF NOBODY COMES FORWARD TO CLAIM IT AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME.

On this note, I decided to seek for a foreigner who will present himself/herself as the Next of Kin. As his Account Officer, I cannot allow the money to remain with the firm and consequently have it forfeited to Government especially as it is against local banking and financial institutions laws, regulations and ethics to allow such money to stay more than a certain period of years and in this case, it will lapse at the end of 2003.

Upon the receipt of your positive response, I shall furnish you with the further details regarding the funds then, we proceed from there. But please keep every and all information secret and private.

Do not fail to include your phone and fax numbers (if any) in your reply.

Respectfully submitted.
