To do what it sounds like you want, you'll need an sshd on the XP
system. You can get one here:

http://lexa.mckenna.edu/sshwindows/

Then simply ssh to the XP system with a port forward, and run vnc
connecting to localhost, going through the ssh tunnel, to the XP system.
