	Hello,

is anybody able to get an USB scanner to work with sane-backends-1.0.12?
It worked for me with sane-backends 1.0.9 (which probably killed my
scanner) but it doesn't work with 1.0.12 and the replacement scanner.
The NetBSD kernel recognizes the scanner:

uscanner0 at uhub5 port 2
uscanner0: EPSON EPSON Scanner, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 4

And I got an entry in "plustek.conf" for the scanner:

[usb] 0x04b8 0x011d
device /dev/uscanner0

But according to ktrace(1) "xsane" doesn't even try to open "/dev/uscanner0".
Here is the debugging output:

[plustek] drvopen()
[plustek] usbDev_open(/dev/uscanner0,0x04B8-0x011D)
[plustek] open failed: -1
[plustek] sane_get_devices (0xbfbfedac, 0)
[plustek] sane_exit

It looks like "libusb" is rejecting the open call. Any help how to make this
work would be appreciated.

	Kind regards
