Hi,

installing VMware 2.0.4 (from package) on NetBSD 1.6.1 (GENERIC_LAPTOP
w/o agp support) with XFree86 4.3.0 (from xsrc), I keep getting the
following message when installing/running win2K :

The cpu has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need
to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point

google and vmware.com talk about "disabling Intel SpeedStep" on laptop.
is it possible to do such a thing with NetBSD ?
what's strange is that the same conf (ie, vmware2/win2K) runs w/o any
problems on the same machine running FreeBSD-4.8-STABLE :(

any pointer to solve this ?

Thanks for answers,
	Jo
