Wow! Now that's strange.

Is it checkpoint or ftpd, though?

We can ftp to other ftp servers out there thru checkpoint.
We can ftp to netbsd.org from outside checkpoint.

Who is being incompatible, here? It would be nice to be able to tell my
network admins "I told you it was your silly firewall!" but I still
don't have any data to prove this.

Does anyone have more information on this?

many thanks,
