To follow-up my own postings from a week past:: I have discovered the
cause of the ethernet problems in my MiniITX system-- the mini power
supply (110 watts) was over-taxed in trying to drive the motherboard,
hard-drive, and a CDROM. This I guess caused an undervolt situtation
in the Ethernet transceiver, with network flakiness being the result..
(Removing the CDROM made everything healthy.)
