Some success. It works for a bit-- the system (Zorilla) ftp'ing a file
from another system runs at full speed (10MB/s), although during one
test it dropped down to 1MB/s. (An example of the switch acting up?)

In the other direction, ftp'ing a file from Zorilla now runs at
~200kB/s; however the kernel complains constantly (~10 messages/sec)
with "vr0: transmit aborted" after using the second ifconfig command
above.
