I forgot to add, I was receiving PADO packets from my peer, which the pppoe driver stated as unrequested, but tcpdump 
clearly showed the requests. I'm not that sure if it was tcpdump crashing the kernel, or if the pppoe driver crashed a 
moment before I pressed ctrl+c.
