Good day,

I have an XFree86 4.2.0, an mplayer 0.90, and some movie files.

I'm trying to play these video files with mplayer, with the
option -vo xv. I always get the following error message:
  X11 error: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)

When I try to use -vo x11, it's very slow and lagged.  Doesn't anybody
know what could make xv good?
