Are you sure you don't have a dns problem, or something like that ?
I got less than 20 seconds betweem a sparc IPX and a IPC (which are both
slower than SS4/SS5), over the internet (~65ms RTT), and including
typing "yes" to the "continue connecting" question, and my password.
