I have two slow machines (a SS4 and a SS5) that I want to run ssh between.
What knobs can I turn to speed this up:
smaug# time ssh -1 vulab1 date
Sat Mar 29 03:38:21 CET 2003
4.049u 0.322s 1:24.69 5.1% 0+0k 0+18io 0pf+0w
^^^^^^^
This is not in a security-critical environment, so turning off encryption
or using very short keys would be ok.
