"root" isn't intended to be a user, and so should have no files of
note - the stuff that is in /root is just sufficient environment setup
for the (rare) occasions when root actually needs to log in. There
should be no reason for most of that to be protected - anything that
needs it can be individually handled (or you can just change the
permissions on the directory if you want to).
