So you are trying to say you have a network problem of some udefined kind?

Please provide more info. How are you connected to the internet?
Did something of the relevant configuration change during your update to 1.6?

Did the MTU of your connection change (for example "ifconfig ppp0" shows this).
What does "sysctl net.inet.ip.mtudisc" say?
