I am trying to get smbpasswd to sync unix passwords - without any luck so =
far.

Running NetBSD 1.6, Samba 2.2.5

I set the following in smb.conf
unix password sync =3D yes
passwd program =3D /usr/bin/passwd %u
passwd chat debug =3D yes
log level =3D 100
(and various different password chat)

I restarted smbd.

Running smbpasswd says Password changed - twice
even though the system password has not been.

I thought chat debug would help but log.smbd does not show anything.

I wonder if support for this option is available in the package?
