Hi all

Today I experienced an unpleasant low memory condition on 1.6. I had
about 45 smbd + 30 sshd running, and the machine ran out of memory (it
had 32MB). The load raised to 50, which is a bit hard for interactive
use. 

The machine was running just fine with 1.5.x in the same situation. I
suspect this is an UBC related problem, but how can I tune this?
(Except by adding some memory, which was my quick fix to the problem)
