We have 6410 and 7850 controllers in various NetBSD project machines,
such as the FTP and AnonCVS servers.  They seem to work fine, so long as
you have good disks *and cables*.  They are very sensitive to cable quality
and can experience mysterious failures if you have any bad cables connected
to them -- not necessarily just failure of the drive on the bad cable, but
possibly other units as well.

Performance is pretty good.
