i read a lot about it - it looks like CD-RW drive will be able to
write to sector boundary - just like normal hard drives, and even will do
error correction, and will automatically format (=write some headers) on
new CD-RW.

does anyone know how compatible it really is and if it can be used under
NetNBSD ? or it's wincompatible only?

having CD-RW drive that i can just do newfs, mount and use it sounds
really nice.
