IMac's do not have a floppy. Many of the other manufacurers such as Gateway
ship computers without the floppy drive. They are trying to free themselves
of this legacy hardware and relying on the CDROM to have the "rescue boot
disks". I think it would be unwise to assume that everyone has a floppy on
their systems.
