Hmm... have you changed the /etc/sshd.conf file on the NetBSD machine or
/etc/ssh_config on the PowerBook (MacOS X, right?) from the default? In
particular, do you have "PasswordAuthentication no" in either one? It
looks like I was wrong when I said that "keyboard-interactive" was the
standard password authentication... password authentication is
"password" :) It's not showing up in the list of acceptible
authentication methods though, so it looks like it's been turned off
somewhere.
