The processor is overheating. K6 (the original, less so K6/2) used to run
really hot. However, your processor cooling arrangements should allow you
to run at 100% load continuously (like running Windows 95) without
crashing. Unix would also crash should you run it at 100% load for any
length of time. Get a better heatsink and fan, and attach it to the
processor with a thin smear of thermally conductive paste, before you
damage your chip.
